Since 2012
It started with one room and a kettle
Ana Ribeiro opened Spavelly after ten years of working in busy hotel spas, where treatments were timed to the minute and guests were moved along like a queue.
She wanted the opposite: a small studio where the tea is always warm, the therapist knows your name and an hour really feels like an hour. Twelve years later, that is still the plan.
2012
One room, two therapists
We opened a single treatment room above a bakery on Rua das Flores.
2016
The thermal suite
A sauna, a steam room and a cold plunge pool joined the studio.
2020
Our own oils
We began blending oils and balms in small batches with a farm in Sintra.
2024
A team of twelve
Twelve therapists and six treatment rooms, and still no rush.
